Design

Control panels can come in variety of sizes and designs from a basic panel for machine lighting control to a specific control panel with an integral plc control system.

All work undertaken is in accordance with all relevant standards which are needed in the designing of control systems to conform to the Machinery Directive and PUWER regulations.

PLC / HMI and Scada software is designed and simulation tested as far as reasonably practical prior to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). 

All manufactured control panels are CE marked and come with a declaration of conformity.

Drawings are supplied in AutoCAD 2D format and 3D if required.

Safety

 All systems are risk assessed to ensure that the correct safety equipment is selected and utilised so the control system will operate safely. When the safety device is called into operation it will function as designed. Some examples we have utilised are below;

• Light Curtains
• Fortress Interlocks
• Emergency Stop, Guard Switches, Two hand controls

Manufactures for safety equipment selection include the likes of Pilz, Siemens etc.

Manufacturing

All control panels are manufactured to ensure the highest of standards, using the latest of numbering and labelling systems. All equipment is labelled and marked, making the control panel easier to manufacture and to fault find if any future issues arise. An area we pride ourselves in is presentation.

Testing

All control panels are point to point tested to confirm all wiring is as per the electrical schematics. Where necessary all drawings will be marked up and modified (if required) before dispatch of the control panel. Power up tests and simulation testing will be carried out where possible.

Factory Acceptance testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and is offered as a service to ensure the control systems function correctly and meet the client’s specifications.

Installation and commissioning

All equipment can be installed where required in accordance all relevant Standards.

We can provide the following commissioning services.

• PLC Software Commissioning
• System setup
• HMI setup and commission
• Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) / completion buy off

Training

We offer training for operators in the main operation of the systems along with maintenance personnel for the up keep of the system.
